Few things feel as comforting as the smell of freshly baked hot cross buns coming out of the oven. Soft, lightly spiced, and filled with fruity goodness, hot cross buns are a seasonal favourite — but store-bought versions are often packed with added sugars, preservatives, and refined ingredients. Making your own at home allows you to enjoy this classic treat in a more nourishing and mindful way.
Homemade hot cross buns give you control over what goes into your food, making it easier to choose better-quality ingredients and reduce unnecessary additives. Baking can also be a grounding activity — slowing down, getting hands-on, and reconnecting with what you eat, which aligns perfectly with the Medshield Movement philosophy of holistic wellbeing.
